Birding

 "Rainbows in flight"

From crimson fronted Barbet to Red backed Woodpecker, the Island is a haven of endemic and migrant birds, the butterflies and insects. They all certainly add color to the landscape and their flights would always be a treat to your eyes and their calls to your ears, where ever you travel. The Jungle Fowl (Quail) the national bird of the Island would always make your path colorful with its flight. The avifaunal diversity in the island is unbelievable and it’s not seasonal except for the migrant birds who come over here to escape the hash winters. Whether you are a serious birder or a casual traveler – the avifauna would certainly keep you entertained on this last landmass on the Southern tip of the Indian subcontinent.

 Happy Birding!!
